Whole Person Wellness Programming
Wellness is a philosophy, a way of life. It is a way of life that focuses on health, not sickness. It is intentional and purposeful action by a person to take charge of their life. Whole person wellness, according to the International Council of Active Aging, has seven dimensions. These dimensions focus on the following area of life: Physical, Social, Spiritual, Vocational, Intellectual, Environmental, and Emotional. OMM Spann Wellness Center and Life Enrichment Program offer many calendar events to experience wellness in all seven dimensions.
The Spann Wellness Center offers a heated salt-water pool, hot tub, fitness classrooms, state-of-the-art exercise equipment, scheduled fitness and wellness programs, men's and women's showers and lockers, indoor walking track and fitness coordinator to teach classes daily. We offer free weights, balance balls, yoga, tai-chi, fun fit boxing, better balance, Wii bowling, and Pickle ball to name a few. The VP of Wellness manages events and programming for all areas of the community with the help of a staff of 6.
The Spann Wellness Center features a heated salt-water pool and hot tub with water classes 3 times per week. The pool is open every day for free swim outside of class time.
OMM boasts a beautiful putting green for practice and the annual putting contest!
