ABOUT THE COMMUNITY

The Village at Rockville, A National Lutheran Community, has been devoted to a culture of innovation, hospitality and whole-person wellness for 130 years. Healthy-living here includes a strong emphasis on being spiritually healthy, with a 150-seat chapel at the heart of campus life to which people of all faiths are welcome.

Residents at The Village at Rockville are committed to civic-mindedness, educational and cultural involvement, and engaging in every area of life. Off campus, they enjoy easy access to a treasure trove of activities, restaurants, shopping, houses of worship both in Rockville, MD, and in Washington, D.C.

ConnectedLiving

We believe that your age should not limit your creativity, curiosity or the ability to grow more physically fit. We support personal empowerment through a whole-person approach to healthy-living that nurtures physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being. You’ll see this belief in action at all NLCS communities. People who never picked up a paintbrush or explored woodworking are creating beautiful works of art. Pursuing new passions and discovering new friends and hobbies is what retirement is all about. Even the most introverted residents discover a sense of camaraderie among friends and neighbors that nourishes the spirit.
