ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
Founded more than thirty years ago, Helderberg Village is surrounded by farmlands, wide-open skies and breathtaking mountain views – only a short drive from downtown Cape Town and Cape Town International Airport. Residents of this fully-developed sectional title estate also enjoy living close to blue flag beaches, shopping malls and several award-winning wine estates.
The almost 800 homes on this 84-hectare Retirement Resort are surrounded by indigenous gardens, dams and a 9-hole golf course as well as many other healthy living amenities – both indoor and outdoor. All services are maintained with the highest standards to ensure the security, financial stability and well-being of residents.
Whatever your hobbies, passions and individual interests, expect to have more time to pursue them at Helderberg Village. The facilities and amenities here are some of the most comprehensive of any retirement development in the country and indeed the whole continent of Africa. Whether you are a culture-lover, social butterfly, sport enthusiast or more inclined to quieter pursuits like bird watching or walking - your options are almost endless on an estate geared towards keeping you healthy, engaged and involved in every area of life.
The on-site gym specializes in senior fitness with all the needed equipment, or you can opt to join the classes offered in the studio, such as yoga, line dancing and many others.
Relax and unwind at your choice of four swimming pools (one of which is heated) - tranquil spots where you can soak up some of that gorgeous South African sun or just cool off in after a few games of tennis or bowls. Aqua-fit classes are loved by all for a good workout.
Tee off on the 9-hole SAGU rated golf course and spend a leisurely afternoon honing your skill, or showing them off on one of the most scenic and challenging 9-hole courses in the Western Cape. Tees and greens are in excellent condition, fairways are true and fair, and trees and gardens have grown and matured. Some of the views from the tees, in particular, are truly spectacular.
